Fynn Wilson (b.1999) is a photographic artist, designer and film director from Cape Town, South Africa. He has degrees in psychology, film & television studies and fine art which he received from the University of Cape Town as well as the Michaelis School of Fine Art. He is currently completing an honours degree in visual communications design.
Fynn’s work is centered around identity. He is fascinated by how we come to be, and feels most passionate when inhabiting the many intersections of creativity and self-expression. He is a keen collaborator, and has spent many years documenting and engaging with Cape Town’s underground electronic music and art scenes.
Fynn’s work has been published in numerous local and international magazines such as Photo Vogue, Nataal Media, Kaltblut Magazine, The Flowhouse Magazine, Barbequeer, Connect Everything Collective & Bubblegum Club, to name but a few.
He has worked with brands, artists and institutions such as Truworths, Asa Sadan, Float Apparel, Born Out of Boredom, Sace Baby, Gregory Russell, Frances Pryce-Lewis, HOOD DAD, GOODNEWS, Hamshack Radio, The Death of Glitter, Movida, Curator Studio & Smalltown Beat, Just Between Us, Mouth2Mouth, Search Festival, Jozua Gerrard, Matthew Michael, Ky Boshoff, Queezy Babaz, Peyton Joe-Basson, Tazmé Pillay, Jan Cowen-Scholtz, Lord Lu, Ray Bennett, Lukas Urban, One Park and The AVA Gallery.
Fynn has curated and executively produced two fine art exhibitions to date. The first, entitled RABBIT HOLE took place at One Park on April 19th 2024. In May 2026 he produced his first solo offering, Glimmer, which took place at Chardonnay Deli in Constantia.
Fynn is informally represented for his art by The Dealr, a contemporary online platform where artists meet collectors, based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
